Privacy, short and honest.

We collect as little as possible and we don't sell anything we collect. This page says exactly what we do, in plain English. Last updated June 2026.

What we collect

• Newsletter sign-ups. If you subscribe to GOOT Drops, we store your email address and the origin city you picked. That's it.
• Anonymous click events. When you click a "Book" or "Find an escape" button, we record the trip and the type of click. We don't store who you are or what your IP address is.
• Server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider keeps short-lived access logs for diagnostics and abuse prevention. These rotate automatically.

What we don't collect

• We don't use tracking cookies or third-party analytics that follow you around the web.
• We don't fingerprint your device.
• We don't sell, rent, or share your email with anyone.

Affiliate cookies

When you click an affiliate link to a booking platform (Booking.com, Hotels.com, etc.), that platform sets its own cookie so they can credit us if you book. We don't control those cookies. If you don't want them set, don't click the booking link, or clear cookies after you book. See our affiliate disclosure for how the commissions work.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any GOOT Drops email. To request deletion of any data tied to your email, write to [email protected]. We'll confirm within seven days.
